Posting to Instagram (through the Buffer Integration)
You can share single-post images directly, using SocialBee's direct integration with Instagram. You can see more about this by clicking here.
By using SocialBee's companion mobile app, you can post to Instagram natively while redirecting your post to either your feed, stories, or direct message. You'll be able to publish the way you want it, with full customization in the Instagram app. You can read more about how you can publish through our mobile app in this article.
Alternatively, if you're interested in posting directly, you can do that through our Buffer integration. To do this, you need to have a Buffer account (it can be free or any of their paid plans). Alternatively, you can choose our Zapier integration for direct posting.
Before anything else, please make sure you connect your Instagram Account to your Buffer account. For this, log in to your Buffer account and click "connect" under the Instagram Icon:
After that, you'll be redirected to a page where you can see all your connected profiles. There will be a blue button that will allow you to connect a new social account:
After this, you'll be able to select between an Instagram Business profile or a Personal profile. One thing to keep in mind is that posting for Business Profiles will be done directly, while personal profiles are no longer supported by Buffer. As an alternative, you can use our mobile app instead.
Before you start posting, let's finish the setup of your account in SocialBee. First things first, scroll to the bottom of the page and connect a new Instagram account.
Once you've done that, you will be able to access your Instagram's Posting Setup from your SocialBee dashboard. Once there, switch to the Buffer Menu and press on "Add Buffer Account". From there, you'll have to authorize SocialBee to have access to your Buffer account (you'll be redirected there, don't worry). Finally, just make sure to select the correct Instagram account and you're done!
Just keep in mind that, if you don't have an Instagram Business Profile, you won't have access to their Direct Scheduling in Buffer so you will need to use the SocialBee Mobile App. Because Instagram doesn’t allow actual scheduling to personal profiles, the mobile app will send you a reminder when it’s time to post something you’ve scheduled.
And finally, remember that publishing videos to Instagram is not currently supported through our Buffer integration.
