Posting on Instagram (Through our Zapier Integration)
Posting on Instagram using our companion mobile app comes with many perks, but it can also slow the process. In order to post directly to this platform, you can choose between our Buffer Integration (only for paid Buffer accounts) or our Zapier Integration.
To do this, you need to have a Zapier account (which you can create by clicking here), and while their paid plans will offer many other benefits, you can also create up to 100 posts monthly with a free account.
Connecting your Instagram to Zapier
Before anything else, please make sure you connect your Instagram Account to your Zapier account. For this, log in to your Zapier account, go to the sidebar menu on the left, and go to "My Apps":
Once you're there, you will have to search for "Instagram for Business" (it is currently in Beta) and click on the result. This will generate a pop-up that will ask you to authorize Zapier to access your Facebook account. Keep in mind that you have to select the profile that is an admin of the Facebook Page connected to the Instagram Business profile.
Once you've authorized the app, you should be able to see it on screen. You can always change its name to something else to know which profile it is (such as the handle of the profile).
Switching your Posting Setup to Zapier in SocialBee
Once there, make sure to select Zapier and click on "Add Zapier Account". Once you've authorized our app to have the read and write permissions needed, you will be redirected to the posting setup.
Creating the Zap to post to Instagram directly
With our Zapier integration, you can create Zaps directly from SocialBee. All you have to do is click on "Create Zap" for this specific profile.
Once you did that, a new screen will pop up that will take you through all the steps, one by one. The first thing you will have to do is connect your SocialBee account and select the correct workspace and Instagram profile (that you've already connected to SocialBee) and test your trigger.
If that trigger is successful, you'll be able to head to the next step. If not, you must reconnect SocialBee and the Instagram account to Zapier.
Next up is the part where you can customize your zap. Most of the fields are generated by SocialBee, but you must check if Instagram for Business and the correct Instagram has been selected.
In the next step, Customize Media, make sure you've selected the same profile. The rest of the fields here will be automatically filled in by SocialBee.
Next, click on Continue, test your trigger and keep in mind this will send a post to your profile, so keep an eye out for that, and press on "Turn on Zap". Once that's done, you can click on the x at the top and close the pop-up.
Congratulations! Your setup is finished and you can now start sharing content to your Instagram page directly.
