How Do I Add Alt-Text to Images?

Alt-text is an important feature for aiding accessibility to social media for people with disabilities. Because of this, we want to give you the tools necessary to make your content more broadly accessible!

How Do I Add Alt-Text?

The first thing you have to do is create your post as you would regularly: add your profile(s), caption, and image(s). Once you did that, click on "Customize for each profile". This is mandatory as alt-text is not currently supported by all social profiles.

Once you have done this, you will be able to add alt-text by clicking on the icon at the top-left corner of each image.

This will open a new window that allows you to see the image you are currently working with and a small textbox where you can add your alt-text. This can be a maximum of 400 characters, including spaces.

Keep in mind that the same alt-text will be added across all your profiles and all variations for the same image. This is to ensure continuity.

How Do I Edit My Alt-Text?

To edit your alt-text, all you have to do is click the icon at the top-right corner, edit the text, then click Save. The same alt-text will be changed across all your profiles and all variations for the same image.
