Using the SocialBee Mobile App
The wait is finally over! We’ve released our Mobile Companion App, which will make it so much easier for you to publish to your Instagram account. You’ll be able to find the app for both IOS and Android in the AppStore and Google Play.
What can you do with the SocialBee App?
Using the SocialBee app you can connect your Instagram account to SocialBee directly. You’ll be able to post Photos and Videos to your Instagram account via Reminders (at first).
How do I get the App?
You can download the SocialBee Mobile Reminders Companion App for both iOS and Android:
Once you install the SocialBee app, you may be prompted to allow notifications and then you'll be able to start using it.
How do I use the SocialBee App?
Now that you have the mobile app installed you’ll be able to connect Instagram directly. To do so, in our SocialBee web app, go to your Profiles Tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you’ll now also have the option to connect an Instagram account directly:
To connect Instagram, you will need to allow SocialBee access to your account.
Then, make sure you log into your SocialBee account from your mobile app. You can log in with either username and password, or by using one of your connected profiles.
Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see a list of your connected profiles by tapping the menu at the top left corner. You’ll be able to tap on each of them to see your posting history or to publish your next post.
Start working on and scheduling your posts to your liking on the web version of SocialBee, and when it’s time to post, you’ll get a notification on your phone.
Posting to Instagram
Tapping the notification will take you to the next screen, where you’ll see the post in more detail, and allow you to go through the posting flow.
By tapping “Share Post” in the Reminder details screen, you’ll copy the caption and open up a screen that will allow you to choose whether you want this to be published to your Feed or to your Story.
If you choose the Stories, it will open up the posting flow for the Stories, on Instagram. If you choose feed, it will open your photo in Instagram, to make sure you post it.
All you have to do is go through the screens and tap “Next” until you reach the caption editor screen, where you’ll have to paste the text. Remember, your caption is automatically copied into your phone.
We recommend also adding a location or tagging people you might want to tag, at this stage. Once that’s done, you’re ready to publish! Tap the Share button, from the top, right corner.
You’ll be able to see all of the published posts in the “Post History” tab. You’ll find it at the bottom, right corner of the app.
That being said, if you dismiss this notification when you receive it, you’ll always find it later in the “To Share” menu, for that profile.
Posting to Facebook Profiles
Just like with Instagram, you can send posts to your Facebook Profile by using our mobile app. It will send you reminders when it's time to post. Here's how you use it:
Connect your Facebook Profile, by going to our SocialBee web app, to your Profiles Tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you’ll have the option to connect Facebook Profiles.
Once you do that, go ahead and schedule your posts using the SocialBee web app, like you normally would. When it’s time to post, you’ll get a notification on your phone.
Tapping the notification will take you to the next screen, where you’ll see the post in more details, and allow you to go through the posting flow.
By tapping “Share Post” in the Reminder details screen, you’ll copy the caption and open up a screen that will allow you to choose whether you want this to be published to different apps from your phone. When that happens, tap the Facebook icon.
You’ll get a screen mentioning that your caption has been copied and you’ll be able to add it to your post.
From here, you’ll get to publish your post like you would directly on Facebook. Choose where you want to include this post (whether you want it on your Feed, Your story, on a friend’s timeline and so on), and tap Share.
Then, you’ll need to paste the caption into the text field and share your post. You’ll get a confirmation that it was published and you’ll be able to see it in your feed.
You’ll always find your shared items in the “Post history” tab.
